Severe allergies present quite a challenge to both parents
and schools. Many schools and pre-schools are finding that
cases of peanut allergy, milk allergy, egg allergy and other
allergies are on the increase. The good news is that even
the most extreme form of allergy – anaphylaxis –
is manageable in schools. But what staff and parents need
is accurate, reliable information. This is what this website
aims to provide.
Allergy in Schools is an advisory website designed by the
Anaphylaxis
Campaign, an independent charity guided by leading UK
allergists. Information on these pages is given in good faith.
However, all of us are different and individual cases need
individual attention. Please be guided by your GP or consultant.

May tip of the month - Students
Going on a school trip? Ensure your Healthcare Plan goes on the trip too. Before going, have a meeting with the teacher to decide who will be responsible for your medication and do a risk assessment with your allergies in mind..
